The view from the back is huge. So is the property, an impressive jumble of buildings, two old farmhouses with their barns and stables, plus a bread oven with a nice tower, strung out along the quiet main road of this hilltop village NW of Cluny. The first farmhouse, entered via external steps and a small covered balcony, is a main room with old fireplace and exposed ceiling timbers, with a small corner kitchen and basic bathroom. Behind it a bedroom, and to one side of it another bedroom. The large attic above would allow for considerable extension of the living area, and such a renovation would also be the occasion for finding a better place for the bathroom. The second farmhouse is also approached by external steps, but for the moment it has only a single room with ceiling timbers and a nice new parquet floor, used as a guest bedroom. Again the attic above and the adjoining outbuildings would allow for the living area to be greatly extended. A considerable renovation project , and it would be possible to divide this into two separate dwellings, both quite private and both with separate entrances. And since there is nearly an acre and a half of land, mostly behind the house, and enjoying the wonderful view, there is plenty of space too.
